Wild Bird Training Program
For 30 years Hifive Kennels has been breeding English Pointers and English Setters for the grouse and woodcock hunter. To prove our program, we have successfully campaigned our dogs on the cover dog circuit against the best and have hunted our dogs across the country on wild birds. Our dogs are truly wild bird dogs that handle from foot. We train gun dog and coverdog/walking dogs. Our program has produced some of the finest hunting and grouse trial dogs in the country.

Grouse and Woodcock Hunts
Grouse hunt with two of the top grouse dog trainers in the country. Grouse Ridge Guide Service has a string of professional guide dogs providing unmatched bird work and shooting opportunities.
Come hunt wild birds in their natural habitat with our top-notch pointers and setters. You can expect multiple opportunities every day on both pointed grouse and woodcock in storybook lake state upland cover. We hunt from mid-September through mid-November with the best weather and peak woodcock flights usually taking place the first two weeks of October. Grouse are available throughout the season with better shooting opportunities in the later part of October into November after the leaves fall.
